In recent Indian Super League (ISL) transfers, Odisha FC has successfully secured the signing of star striker Roy Krishna, while Jamshedpur FC has acquired Serbia winger Alan Stevanovic.
Roy Krishna, a Fiji international and a well-known figure in the Indian football scene, has agreed to a one-year contract with Odisha FC. After beginning his career with Fiji's Labasa, Krishna made his move abroad in 2008.
The financial details of the deal were not disclosed, but his market value is estimated at Rs 2 crore according to transfermarket.in. Having played for ATK FC and Mohun Bagan previously, Krishna spent last year with Bengaluru FC, scoring six goals in 22 matches. His addition to Odisha FC adds significant attacking prowess to the team.
Odisha FC, based in Bhubaneswar, won the Super Cup last year and recently hired Spanish coach Sergio Lobera. With their qualification for the AFC Cup, the club has been actively recruiting experienced foreign players to strengthen their squad.
In another transfer move, Jamshedpur FC has roped in Serbian winger Alen Stevanovic for a two-year period. The 32-year-old previously played under the guidance of Jose Mourinho in Inter Milan's treble-winning squad during the 2009-10 season.
